In my perspective, gratitude is another word for happiness…
If you wonder why I am saying so is, when I am being more grateful, I feel happier… That is my personal experience regarding gratitude, and I want to share the secret of my happiness with you in here.
Here I am going to emphasize that you have much more things to be grateful rather than saying thank you for the favours or helps that someone has done to you.
This magic word of gratitude not only can bring your health wealth and happiness but also it can make your dreams come true.
There are lots of scientifically proven benefits from gratitude such as,
- Improve mental and physical health
According to a 2012 study published in Personality and Individual Differences, grateful people experience fewer aches and pains and report feeling healthier than other people. Furthermore, gratitude reduces toxic emotions/ mental disease such as depression, frustration, envy and anxiety.
- Improve sleep quality
Gratitude can trigger our hypothalamus which makes us sleep deeply naturally. Natural deep sleep boosts your energy level.
- Make contentment
Take a moment and look round. You can see how many things you have in your life to be grateful. Don’t you feel happy and satisfied now? From the moment of you wake up until you sleep, think how many things, opportunities and loved ones you have and someone else doesn’t have including being alive.
- Enhance our relationships
The word of Thank you is a simple word to say. But the impression that arises by hearing that word is priceless. I’m sure we all have experienced that pleasant feeling.

When you feel unhappy or empty, you can complement yourself how beautiful you are, how brave you are or how lucky you are. Then you will automatically begin to be grateful for all those things that you complimented, and you will realise that you are the happiest person in the world. This activity will help you to make self-confidence too.
If you practice gratitude, you will see a huge positive change and progress in your life. It will guide your heart to see the positive side whenever you feel down. Practising gratitude is simple.
You can use a gratitude journal
Once you wake up in the morning, spend 2 or 3 minutes to write down three things that you are grateful and before you go to bed you can write down 3 things that you are grateful for the day. It will make your day pleasant and specially the night-time gratitude will give you a quality sleep.
When you are in front of the mirror, you can tell yourself how beautiful you are and you can be grateful for your body to make you attractive, healthy, and strong.
Likewise, you have so many things to be grateful within a day… Actually, you can be grateful for almost all the things in your life and it will keep you happy and healthy throughout the day.
Remember, there are people who don’t have a single thing that you have and some of them don’t know even they can be alive in the next moment.
Therefore, don’t forget to appreciate and be grateful for your amazing life.
